Poddster is the best podcast studio in Dubai for recording podcast episodes with a remote guest

Whether it’s interviewing an author overseas, a client in another market, or an industry expert who can’t travel, the challenge is capturing those conversations without losing quality. Standard Zoom recordings sound flat but with the right studio setup, remote interviews can look and sound just as professional as in-person sessions.

That’s what Poddster delivers. As Dubai’s leading podcast studio network, Poddster equips creators to host studio-quality podcasts with remote guests. Each session combines multi-camera 4K video, pro audio, and seamless integration of remote guests with industry-standard software like Riverside. An on-site operator manages both the in-studio recording and the remote feed, syncing everything so conversations flow naturally. The result is polished, broadcast-ready content that showcases both local hosts and global guests at their best.

New clients can book a studio tour at the Al Barsha location to see the remote-guest setup in action. First-time bookings also qualify for 20% off with promo code FIRST20, valid across all Dubai and Abu Dhabi studios.

What Makes Remote Podcast Recording Sound Professional?

The biggest quality gap between a professional remote interview and a standard video call comes down to how the audio is captured. Tools that record each participant's audio and video locally on their own device — rather than compressing everything through a live call, the way standard video conferencing does — avoid the artifacts and quality loss that come from real-time internet compression. The files are then uploaded and synced after the call, producing studio-quality source material regardless of connection hiccups during the actual conversation.

What Do Remote Guests Need for a Good Recording?

  • A quiet, treated space — a small, soft-furnished room with carpets or soft furniture reduces echo far more effectively than a large, hard-surfaced room.
  • Headphones — wearing headphones prevents audio bleed and feedback between the guest's microphone and the host's voice.
  • Microphone positioning — a microphone placed 3 to 8 inches from the mouth at a slight angle, ideally with a pop filter, avoids distortion and harsh plosives.
  • Sufficient upload speed — at least 5 Mbps of upload bandwidth per participant is generally recommended to avoid freezing or dropped video during the call.

Why Do Backup Recordings Matter?

Even well-prepared remote sessions can fail — a dropped connection, a browser crash, or a sync error can cost part or all of a recording. Best practice is to run a simple backup recorder locally during any remote session, such as a phone's voice memo app or a laptop's built-in recorder, so that a usable audio file still exists even if the primary remote recording software has a problem.

How Should Guests Be Prepared Before Recording?

Briefing a remote guest before the session — on topic, expected length, and basic technical setup — tends to produce a noticeably smoother recording than starting cold. Confirming in advance that a guest has a quiet space, working headphones, and a stable internet connection avoids losing recording time to troubleshooting once the session has already started, and it gives the guest confidence going into the conversation.

What Bandwidth and Equipment Do Remote Guests Really Need?

Guests do not need professional studio equipment to sound good on a remote recording, but a few basics make a noticeable difference: a wired or reliable Wi-Fi connection rather than a weak mobile signal, a headset or earbuds instead of a laptop's built-in speakers, and a room without hard, bare walls that cause echo. None of this requires expensive gear — a spare bedroom with soft furnishings and a decent pair of headphones is often enough to produce a clean, professional-sounding remote track.
