Space for the conversations that matter most

Family Podcasts are guided, private recording experiences designed to help families, partners, and loved ones slow down and truly connect, without distraction, performance, or rush.

Gather Your People
Bring your family, partner, or chosen circle. Parents and children. Siblings. Partners. Friends. There’s no single definition of “family” here.
Space That Holds You
Step into a peaceful bubble completely removed from the overwhelm of the day-to-day. Select thoughtful prompt cards to guide your experience, or set your own pace.
Leave With a Keepsake
You receive a beautifully crafted video to keep or revisit. Private by default. Shared only if you choose.
Have the Conversation
You take the time you rarely get in daily life. Uninterrupted. Thoughtful. Grounded. The kind of conversation that usually gets postponed.

This is Why
FamilyPodcasts Exists

01
The Reality
We rarely stop to really talk anymore. Life compresses our communication into logistics, updates, and quick replies. Even with the people we love most, meaningful conversations are postponed - or never happen at all.
02
The Deeper Truth
It’s not that we don’t want connection. It’s that we don’t know how to create space for it. We crave being truly seen and heard by our partners, families, and friends. But everyday life leaves little time, few cues, and almost no permission to slow down and talk deeply.
03
The Tension
The conversations that shape us often happen too late - or not at all. The stories, reflections, and gratitude that matter most live in conversation. Yet those conversations are rarely intentional, and often delayed until moments of loss or regret.
04
Our Promise
Family Podcasts creates space for families to come together and capture what life looks like right now. In a quiet, private environment, you take time to reflect, talk, and record the moments that often go undocumented. What begins as a conversation becomes a lasting record of a shared chapter in time.

Not just a conversation.
A timecapsule of this moment in your lives.

Mark this moment in time, together, and see how your story grows.

Moments that invite you to pause

Family Podcasts allows you to create a timecapsule - moments when it makes sense to slow down, gather everyone, and document life as it is right now.
A new chapter begins

For couples, families, or partners standing at the edge of something new - a marriage, a move, a baby, a shared decision - and wanting to enter it feeling connected, not rushed.

When everyone is finally in the same place

For families who live apart and only gather occasionally. A chance to move beyond updates and logistics, and actually be together while you can.

To say what rarely gets said

For siblings, parents, grown children, or close friends who talk often - but haven’t paused to reflect on who they’ve become, together.

Marking time, not just celebrating it

For year-end reflections, birthdays, anniversaries, or moments of transition, when you want to make meaning of what’s passed, not just toast it.

Honouring those who came before you

For families wanting to spend intentional time with elders - listening, reflecting, and sharing presence - while also creating something that can be revisited later.

Turning a gift into an experience

For people searching for a gift that isn’t another object - but time, attention, and a memory that stays alive long after the day itself.

What to Expect at Your FamilyPodcast Experience

Choose your session

Arrive and settle in
We welcome you in, make sure everyone’s comfortable, and confirm the session is private and closed.
Quick tech check
We set mics and framing, explain the simple hand signals, and then step back so you can forget the equipment is even there.
Start the conversation
Recording begins quietly; you talk to each other, at your own pace, with prompts available if you want them.
A calm, uninterrupted hour
No rush, no performance - just the kind of conversation daily life doesn’t usually leave room for.
Wrap and next steps
We confirm any edit notes you’d like (e.g., sensitive cuts) and your edited video is prepared and shared securely afterwards.

Rewatching our Family Podcast made me tear up all over again. What a gift! Thanks again to the entire Poddster family for this amazing experience.

Sahar & Her Mom

We loved both the final video and the experience of recording it! My family members and I thought it was a wonderful idea to do this, and we have resolved to do this annually. We will cherish it forever as a memorable gift from Poddster.

Suvo & His Family

I will never forget today. This was the most important interview ever. My dad has told me so many stories over the years, but my kids are not old enough to understand them yet. My Family Podcast was the perfect opportunity to record something we can always look back on and share with the rest of the family. Take your parents and ask them the questions you always wanted to ask. Thank you, Poddster!

What do you need from our family in this chapter of your life?
Who in our family is most likely to befriend a stranger?
From your perspective, what is something I do that seems effortless?
What area of your life have you gained more confidence in recently?
Who would you cast to play each of us in a movie based on our life?
If our family made a cookbook, what meals would be included?
Who do you think I get my sense of  humor from?
What’s the most valuable lesson our family has taught you about love?

If this feels like something you’ve been needing, it probably is

Whether for now or for later, Family Podcasts create the conditions for real connection, and a lasting record of what this season of your lives looks like together.

Frequently asked questions

Haven't found what you're looking for? We're here to help.

What is a Family Podcast, exactly?

A Family Podcast is a private recording experience designed to help families, partners, and loved ones slow down and have meaningful conversations they don’t often make time for. It’s not about performance or publishing - it’s about presence, connection, and being fully with one another, with the option to keep the conversation as a lasting keepsake.

Is this a podcast that gets published publicly?

Only if you want it to be. Family Podcasts are private by default. What happens to the recording - whether it’s kept just for you, shared with family, or published publicly - is entirely your choice.

How is this different from a normal conversation at home?

Daily life rarely creates the conditions for deep, uninterrupted conversation. Family Podcasts intentionally remove distractions, time pressure, and surface-level interruptions. You step into a quiet, focused space designed for listening, reflection, and connection - something that’s hard to recreate at home.

Is this more like an interview or a conversation?

It can be either - or something in between. Some families prefer a gentle question-and-answer flow, others talk freely. There’s no “right” format. The experience adapts to what feels most natural and meaningful for you.

Do we need to prepare anything in advance?

Preparation is optional. You’re welcome to simply arrive and use the thoughtfully designed prompt cards provided. If you prefer to bring your own questions or topics, that’s equally welcome.

What if we don’t know what to talk about?

That’s very common - and completely okay. The prompt cards are there to gently guide the conversation, offering starting points that help unlock reflection, memories, and shared understanding without forcing anything.

Is this suitable even if we’re not “good with words”?

Absolutely. Family Podcasts aren’t about eloquence. They’re about being yourself. Pauses, simple language, laughter, and silence are all part of real conversation - and all welcome.

Do we have to perform or speak in a certain way?

Not at all. There’s no script, no expectations, and no pressure to say the “right” thing. You’re invited to speak naturally, at your own pace.

What if the conversation feels emotional or heavy?

Emotional moments are treated with care and respect. You’re always in control of the pace. You can pause, take a break, or shift direction at any time. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is forced.

Who is a Family Podcast for?

Family Podcasts are for anyone who wants to connect more deeply with the people who matter to them - across generations, relationships, and life stages.

Does “family” only mean parents and children?

Not at all. Family can mean partners, siblings, chosen family, close friends, or multi-generational groups. You decide who belongs in the room.

Can couples or partners do a Family Podcast?

Yes. Many couples use Family Podcasts to reflect, reconnect, or mark a moment in their relationship

Can friends or chosen family take part?

Absolutely. Shared history and meaningful connection aren’t limited to traditional family structures.

Is this suitable for grandparents?

Very much so. Many families choose Family Podcasts as a way to honour elders, preserve stories, and create something meaningful across generations.

Can children or teenagers participate?

Yes. The experience adapts to the people in the room. Younger participants are welcomed and supported in a gentle, age-appropriate way.

Is there a minimum or maximum age?

There’s no strict age limit. What matters most is that everyone involved feels comfortable and willing to participate.

How many people can take part in one session?

Up to five people can participate in a single Family Podcast session.

What if not everyone can attend in person?

If someone can’t be physically present, remote participation can be arranged so everyone can still be part of the conversation.

Is our conversation private?

Yes. Privacy is fundamental to the Family Podcasts experience. Your conversation is treated with care, discretion, and respect at every stage.

Who will have access to the recording?

Only the small, dedicated team responsible for capturing and crafting your final video - your documentarian, producer, and editor.

Will any part of our conversation be shared publicly?

Only if you explicitly choose to share it. Otherwise, it remains entirely private.

Are clips ever used for marketing?

We never use audio from Family Podcast conversations for marketing. Any use of photos, behind-the-scenes visuals (without audio), or testimonials is always optional and only done with clear, written consent.

Can we choose to keep everything completely private?

Yes. Many families do.

What if someone changes their mind about being recorded?

That’s respected immediately. Anyone can opt out at any time.

Can we stop or pause during the session?

Absolutely. You control the pace. Breaks are always allowed.

Where does the recording take place?

Family Podcasts are recorded in Poddster’s dedicated studios, designed specifically for comfort, privacy, and calm.

What does the space feel like?

Sessions typically take place in either the Nest or Cove studio - warm, softly lit spaces designed to feel welcoming, intimate, and removed from everyday noise.

Will there be other people around?

Only your documentarian, who quietly handles the technical side and remains as unobtrusive as possible.

Is the room soundproof and private?

Yes. The space is fully sound-treated and closed off for privacy.

Will there be cameras visible?

Yes, but they’re positioned to fade into the background so you can focus on each other.

Can we take breaks if we need to?

Of course. There’s no rush.

What should we wear?

Wear something comfortable and true to you. Avoid very thin stripes, bright whites, neon colours, noisy accessories, or shiny fabrics, as these don’t translate well on camera.

Can we record in languages other than English?

Yes. Family Podcasts can be recorded in many languages.

Can multiple languages be used in the same session?

Yes - families often switch naturally between languages.

Do you provide subtitles or captions?

Subtitles can be added as an optional service.

Is the experience suitable for elders who aren’t tech-savvy?

Yes. The experience and delivery are designed to be accessible and easy to revisit.

How will older family members access the final video?

The final video is shared in a simple, intuitive format that can be opened and watched easily, without technical complexity.

What do we receive after the session?

You receive a carefully edited video of your conversation - thoughtfully crafted to preserve the tone, pacing, and emotional truth of what was shared.

Is it audio, video, or both?

Both. You receive a high-quality video recording with clear audio.

How long is the final edited video?

The length reflects the natural flow of your conversation and what best serves it, rather than being artificially shortened.

When will we receive the finished recording?

Your final video is delivered after the editing process is complete, with care taken to ensure quality and sensitivity.

How will it be delivered to us?

It’s shared digitally in a way that’s easy to access and download

Can we share it with family members?

Yes. You’re free to share it with whomever you choose.

Can we keep it for life and revisit it years later?

Yes. Many families return to their recordings over time - and some choose to create new ones year after year.

How long does the session last?

You have the studio for two hours, allowing for a relaxed, unrushed experience.

Are sessions available on weekends?

Yes, including Saturdays.

How far in advance do we need to book?

That’s up to you. Some families book spontaneously; others plan around milestones.

Can we reschedule if something comes up?

Yes. Flexibility is built into the process.

Do you offer gift bookings?

Yes. Family Podcasts can be gifted.

Can someone else coordinate the booking on our behalf?

Absolutely.

What if this feels awkward at first?

That’s completely normal. Most people feel that way at the beginning - and it usually fades quickly once the conversation begins.

What if we’re not very close right now?

Family Podcasts often create space for reconnection. You don’t need a “perfect” relationship to begin.

What if there’s tension or unresolved feelings?

The experience can gently hold complexity. Nothing is forced, and you decide how deep to go.

What if someone doesn’t want to open up?

That’s respected. Listening is just as valuable as speaking.

Is this still valuable if nothing dramatic comes up?

Yes. Quiet conversations, shared laughter, and everyday truths are just as meaningful.

Who created Family Podcasts?

Family Podcasts was created by the team at Poddster - people who record conversations for a living, and who have experienced this process themselves.

Why did Poddster create this experience?

Because meaningful conversations are too important to leave to chance. Family Podcasts exist to create space for connection in a world that rarely slows down.

Has your team done this themselves?

Yes - including founders and senior team members.

Why should we trust you with something this personal?

Because we understand the responsibility. We approach every Family Podcast with the same care we would our own.
